Volunteers
Why Volunteer?
We are not able to put on these quality races without the help of our awesome volunteers! It’s a great way to give back to the running community, support friends and family that are racing, as well as a way to earn discounts on future Delta Endurance races.
There is huge satisfaction in helping others – and your community!
You will have a GREAT time!
No experience necessary!
It’s fun and easy!
VOLUNTEER PERKS
Fuel on us! For morning races & volunteering enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks. For volunteering in the day you can enjoy post-race party food, snacks & drinks.
Earn community service hours - please contact us after the event if written documentation is needed.
A discount code for future races:
The code is valid for 1 year from the time of the completed volunteer shift. Codes are not given out until after the volunteer has fulfilled their shift and cannot be retroactively applied to a race the volunteer is already registered for. Volunteer codes may not be used for a race that is already sold out. One free future race entry is the maximum that a volunteer can earn throughout a race weekend.
Up to 2 hours = 25% discount
2 - 5 hours = 50% discount
5-7 hours = 75% discount
7+ hours = 100% discount
The discount codes are a thank you gift and ultimately the race director reserves the right to not give out discount codes if they feel the volunteer has not adequately fulfilled the duties of the shift, left early without prior communication, or violated any of the Delta Endurance policies. If we choose not to give you a code, we will communicate with you after the race the reasons why.
In order to be eligible for the discount code, you must email us and request this in advance of the race. We have a set number of volunteers needed per shift and once those are full, there will be no discount codes given out to extras who show up on race day (i.e. if you are signed up to work an aid station, but you bring along 2 friends who did not sign up, those 2 friends are not eligible for a discount code unless they get approval from our volunteer coordinator that there was still a need for the extra help). Upon completion of a volunteer shift (usually within 7 days of the event), race staff will email you the discount code that can be used at checkout (when you register) for a future Delta Endurance race.
VOLUNTEER AND RUN AT THE SAME EVENT
We know many of our race participants love to volunteer too so we make it easy to do both. For the activities listed below Volunteers may leave their activity 10 minutes early to get to the Start Line.
Registration and/or Packet Pickup – Available for every race on the day before & the morning of events
Parking – Available for many races
Kids Dash Races– kid races take place before or after the adult races
Clean up Crew — Available after every race
GROUP VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
When it comes to volunteers, we like to say - the more the merrier! Come on and bring your friends, co-workers, and family members along to volunteer with you at a shared group activity. Group volunteer activities are a wonderful way to have fun while giving back to others and serving your community! Aid Stations, Course Monitors, Snack tables, and Clean up are all great team building experiences. Email us to find out how your group can get involved at an upcoming race.
